I hope everyone has been having a lovely summer so far. In July, I took my son to Rome for a well deserved break after finishing his GCSEs. I am very proud of him! One of his passions is for ancient history and what better place to go? We certainly increased our step count that week. We enjoyed the Colosseum and St Peter’s Basilica the most!
The Colosseum, located just east of the Roman Forum, is a massive stone amphitheatre. In ancient times it held 100 days of games, including gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights.
After four centuries of active use, the arena became neglected, and up until the 18th century it was used as a source of building materials. Although the majority of the original Colosseum has been destroyed over time, it still attracts millions of tourists every year and is still an iconic symbol of Rome.
New beginnings
During August I have been busy with my guide dog, Sally, who unfortunately hurt her paw but is now better!
I have also trained in Indian head massage and am excited to be offering this as a new service, I can personally vouch as to how relaxing and uplifting it is. Indian head massage, also known as champissage, is a holistic and relaxing massage that uses acupressure on the head, face, neck and shoulders.
I have also got a new addition to the treatment room… a new massage couch, complete with more padding and hydraulics and yes, I feel like a kid with a new toy! Now you can enjoy your massage with extra support and even more comfort. I look forward to seeing you in the clinic!
